This wine combines perfectly with elaborate meat and game dishes or aged cheeses. This wine can be preserved in the bottle for years, then it should be allowed to be breathe before being served.
Quite a minty nose with bark, cloves and nutmeg, complementing the elderberries and orange rind. Medium body, some pretty acidity and a fine finish. An engine of aroma, lifting from the glass. Fruit, forest and soil all seem to be there somewhere, with slightly oily, resinous notes and grippy tannins.
