Alc/Vol 14% Kosher for Passover Mevushal: No. Lenny Recanati proudly presents this elegant Reserve Merlot from select high-altitude vineyards in the northern Galilee, where Israel's rich, ancient soil, warm days, and cool Mediterranean nights combine to nurture this classic varietal to its optimum potential. Aged 15 months in French oak barrels (40% new), this singular Merlot exudes nuances of red berries, cassis and spice on the palate, leading to a long, harmonious finish. Outstanding with grilled red meats, risottos and mushroom-based dishes. Winemaking Notes: fter fermenting and macerating for 10 days, the wine ages in French oak barrels for approximately 18 months. It is then bottled after coarse filtration alone. This preserves its aroma and array of flavors. The wine is now ready to drink, although it will continue to develop and improve in the bottle as the years go by. Tasting Notes: The wine has soft and gentle tannins, a full and rich body and balanced acidity. The wine flavors are plum and cherry, roasted coffee beans and spices.
