Product of Israel. Region: Galilee. Variety: Sangiovese Alc/Vol 14.5% Kosher for Passover Mevushal: No Tasting Notes: Medium-bodied. Bright berry and cherry characters balanced out with notes of dried flowers, herbs and spice. Food Pairing: Pan-roasted chicken with olives and lemon, hearty meat lasagna, or grilled porterhouse steaks. The Gamla Sangiovese is produced entirely from Sangiovese fruit grown in vineyards on the central and northern Golan Heights. The wine aged in small French oak barrels for 12 months. Though ready to enjoy now, the Gamla Sangiovese will continue to improve and age nicely for six to eight years from vintage.
