Alc/Vol 14% Kosher for Passover Mevushal: No. Leonardo Recanati, whose Italian heritage lies at the source of his passion for exceptional winemaking, is proud to present this fine Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. A modern classic, this multifaceted red was produced from hand-harvested grapes grown in the cool climate slopes of Israel's northern Galilee region. Aromas of ripe black cherry, lavender, cloves and cigar box are succeeded by mineral notes in the finish. Aged 15 months in French, this fine red has the capacity to age for a decade or more. Savor with grilled meats, roasts and hearty pasta dishes. Superb with hard aged cheeses. Winemaking Notes: The grapes are handpicked, arrive at the winery and are destemmed, pressed after fermenting and macerated for 10 days. The wine matures in French oak barrels over 18 months. It is then bottled after coarse filtration alone. The wine is now ready to drink, although it will continue to develop and improve in the bottle as the years go by. Tasting Notes: The wine has soft, round and gentle tannins, and a full, rich body, balanced acidity and a long and spicy aftertaste. The wine is rich in cassis, cherry, black plum, nuts and Mediterranean spicy herbs.
