Israel's ancient soil and a lengthy growing season provide Recanati with the perfect environment in which to nurture fine white varietals. Grapes for this full-bodied Chardonnay, handpicked from a choice single vineyard in northern Galilee, are soft pressed, vinified and aged "sur lie" in French oak for nine months. Recanati Chardonnay exudes delicate aromas that evolve on the palate into tropical fruit, concluding in a finish that recalls caramel and almonds. Enjoy with a variety of entrees, including fish dishes, pastas and light appetizers. Winemaking Notes: The grapes arrive at the winery in the early hours of the morning. After pressing and controlled fermenting at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks, about half of the wine is aged (sur lie) for six months in French Oak barrels. The other half is completing fermentation and ageing in the tanks. Tasting Notes: A refreshing and elegant wine harmoniously combining the classic Chardonnay aroma with an oak fragrance and a buttery texture. Full-bodied, with flavors and aromas of tropical fruits and white grapefruit, accompanied by an aroma of oak and spices.
